Sunrise Coffee
Sunrise Coffee is out near the airport down East Sunrise Road, and is a bit of a trek from the Strip that will require driving or taking a taxi. It’s worth the journey, though, and makes for an especially good and convenient stop when you’re flying in or out. It also offers a bit of an escape from the casino environment, with more of an artist vibe that you’d find in a west coast coffee haven. Sunrise is primarily known for its high quality coffees, cappuccino, latte and espresso – maybe the best in all of Las Vegas. Their beans come from Klatch Roasting, a well-regarded microroaster based just across the border in California. But they also quietly carry an excellent line of loose leaf fair trade organic teas as well.
They also have a limited food menu featuring vegetarian and vegan preparation – burritos, wraps, soups, sandwiches, bagels and pastries. New customers can get a discount on their first drink by mentioning that they found Sunrise Coffee through their Facebook page. They’re open every day at 6 am (7 on weekends), but close up shop at 9 pm; if you’re a nighttime coffee drinker, come by later in the evening hours to get deep discounts on the day’s remaining pastries with your cup. And if you enjoy watching the planes come in and take off, Sunrise is perfectly situated with window views of the airport.
